“Curb is a lifestyle magazine produced annually by 23 University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Journalism and Mass Communication that celebrated its 19th year in 2020. Throughout a challenging semester, students work together in a capstone course. With the opportunity for hands-on publishing experience, the class produces and distributes a high-quality publication to 10,000 readers around the state of Wisconsin.” — Curb Magazine
In 2022, I was the editor of photography and head photographer for Curb Magazine. Over the course of the 15 week semester, I collaborated to create a style guide and media kit, shot photos for 11 stories, researched, reported and wrote my feature story, The Education Exodus, about the teacher shortage, completed multiple page layouts for the final publication and fundraised by shooting and editing headshots for over 200 people.
