The Dish: Renaissance and Recovery

“The Dish is the Wisconsin Union Directorate Publication Committee’s food and dining magazine. As a student operated publication, The Dish explores both the local food scene and global culinary trends. We distribute Biannual print issues throughout the UW-Madison campus and downtown Madison, along with daily Digital issues. Print Issues and Digital articles available on website.” — The Dish

I started at The Dish in 2020 as a staff writer and photographer. From September 2021 to August 2022, I was the editor of photography for The Dish. After that, I stayed on the staff as a contributing writer and photographer until I graduated in December 2022. During my time at The Dish, I had the privilege of reporting on food insecurity and disordered eating, cooking and photographing multiple featured recipes and shooting interiors, exteriors and menu items from several local restaurants.
